The portal enables a direct link to further information concerning the First World War. It collects texts, library resources and links to websites, as well as other resources concerning the First World War.
The portal is working in collaboration with the German Historical Museum in Berlin, which is preparing a special exhibition for the upcoming centenary. Its aim is to transmit the significance of the conflict in the history of the 20th century, and particularly focuses on its continued relevance in scholarly debate.
