In Flanders Fields Museum, Ypres, Belgium, hasopened an exhibition entitled: ‘Remembering Herbert Hoover & the Commission for Relief in Belgium’.
The Commission for Relief in Belgium was established to provide aid to the civilian populations of Belgium and northern France occupied by Germany during the First World War.
The chairman of the commission was Herbert Hoover, later president of the United States of America.
The new exhibition at the In Flanders Fields Museum consists of documents and items on loan from the USA.
The exhibition will run from 16th March 2013 – 21st May 2013.
