Britain and France will jointly commemorate the centenary of Ferdinand Foch becoming Allied Commander at a ceremony in London on 26 March 2018.
The event will take place at Marshal Foch’s statue in Lower Grosvenor Gardens, near Victoria station. More details are awaited.
Commemorative events will also be held during March in the French town of Doullens, where ‘Le Commandement Unique’ – sole command – was agreed at emergency talks in March 1918. See Doullens Tourisme
