Scottish Screen Archive

The Scottish Screen Archives film collection is home tomany unusual films that depict the lives of civilians and soldiers during the 1914-18period. Visitors to the site can look through the selection of short andfull-length videos and stream them instantly. The 1914-18 period is highlightedin films including the Galashiels Historical Peace Pageant and Scottish Troopsat the Front.

The archive is home to some 32,000 items, andfeatures documentaries, newsreels, educational material, television and publicinformation films, industrial material and advertising and promotionalmaterial. It also preserves and adapts television broadcasts made in Gaelic,photographs, recordings of oral history and many other items.
