Memorials to be erected in Belgium this year to remember Irishmen who died during the battles of 1917 include a tribute to Major Willie Redmond, reports The Irish Times.
A monument has been commissioned to the nationalist politician and soldier being carried from the Messines battlefield by stretcher-bearer John Meeke, an Ulster protestant.
